About Brandi
I was raised in Louisburg, N.C, attended Franklin County public schools from kindergarten through high school and went to the Franklin County campus of Vance Granville Community College. I have been married to my husband, Davis, for 7 years and have a 14 year old son, Jack and a 23 year old step-daughter, Taylor and we continue to call Louisburg, Franklin County our home.
Not only was I raised and lived in Franklin County, but my family’s roots here go back for generations. My mother’s family comes from the Centerville area of the county and my father’s from Louisburg. One of my grandmothers was a beautician, the other was a homemaker, and my grandfather was the county’s “Lance Man” and each were involved in their communities. Most of my family has continued to call Franklin County home and has owned businesses or worked here within the County. So, you can say Franklin County is in my blood and has been and continues to be very important to me.
After graduating from Vance Granville Community College, I began working at Batton & Guin, Attorneys. It was while working there that I became familiar with the Register of Deeds office. After a couple of years, a position became available in the register’s office and I was offered the chance to begin my career working for Franklin County in the Register of Deeds office, that was almost 23 years ago! In 2011, I was appointed to complete the term of my predecessor and have continued to hold the position of Register of Deeds, now entering my 13th year of service to the citizens of Franklin County as their Register. As a Deputy Register of Deeds, I attended the Basic Register of Deeds School at the University of North Carolina’s School of Government and became certified by the NC Association of Registers of Deeds. I have maintained my certification throughout my years of service by continuing to attend all courses and seminars offered. As Register of Deeds, I completed the Elected Register of Deeds Course also offered by the UNC School of Government, along with numerous other courses that have enabled me to stay abreast of statutes, rules and laws that govern my office.
I want to continue to serve the citizens of this county with the service they are accustomed to by providing them with a technologically advanced office that is fiscally responsible and staffed by friendly, knowledgeable public servants. I am running for re-election in 2024, because I have a passion for the job I do and for serving the citizens, that like I always have and will continue to do, call Franklin County home.
